I wonder...
Ever wondered if you made a difference in the world?I know I have my own special little purpose, but there's those times when I'm just feeling glum and I really wonder about it. You do it to; stop lying to yourself. I remember when I was younger, I thought that my purpose was to help other people, be nice to them, and I was pretty much kissing up to people. Well, let's just say at seventeen I've made a bit of a 180. >.> I do want to help people and make them smile- it's something that brings me some sort of happiness. But then again I want to do the complete opposite and just live for me. I'm not saying that I want to be a selfish greedy bastard. I'm saying that I want to stop living on the whim of others; stop letting them drive me down such sickening roads. I wish I could find a way to balance the two, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon. |
